2012 Fund Management Challenge

Italian CFA Society has launched the first university Fund Management Challenge in collaboration with FactSet and Morgan Stanley.

Student teams from Italian universities will have the opportunity to create and manage a virtual equity portfolio as if they were hedge fund or portfolio managers. The competition will start in February 2012 and wiil end in June.

The portfolios will be concentrated and the competition will be performance based. Transaction costs, turnover constraints and short investment case summaries for each investment made will all add to the real-life experience of the Challenge.

Thanks to its remote access platform provided by FactSet, this new competition is a unique opportunity for students across the country to learn the importance of market ethics as well as the joys and perils of portfolio management through hands-on experience.

Winning teams will be invited to an award ceremony in Milan.
